Initial Letter Of Intent

The mission of the IACDSC is to advance educational excellence at independent, nonpublic career schools, colleges, and organizations in the United States and abroad. This is achieved through a deliberate and thorough accreditation process of quality assurance and enhancement as well as ethical business and educational practices.

Both main and additional location MUST complete all steps within the initial application process, including this Self-Assessment.

The initial letter of intent should include:
  1. Type of institution: post-secondary and /or independent institution
  2. Type of Governance: LLC, Non Profit or for profit organization
  3. Type of organization: brief description how the school or institution organization is built , submit proposed organization chart
  4. Proposed level of program offering and length of programs:
    # Course/Degree Duration
    a. Certificate Courses 6 to 12 months
    b. Associate Degree 12 to 18 months
    c. Bachelor’s Degree 12 to 24 months
    d. Master’s Degree 12 to 18 months
    e. Doctoral Degree minimum 36 months
  5. State or local government body recognition and at what level of programming is offered based on point 4 above.
  6. Financial stability and statement: My institution demonstrates financial stability evidenced by an audited financial statement (an audited financial statement will need to be submitted).
  7. The following additional considerations will be given:
  8. Unqualified auditor's opinion?
  9. Are (unrestricted) cash/cash equivalents more than or equal to 35% of current assets?
  10. Allowance for doubtful accounts less than or equal to 20% of accounts receivable?
  11. Accounts receivable (net allowance for doubtful accounts) less than or equal to 25% of current assets?
  12. Current ratio (current assets/current liabilities) 1:1 or better?
  13. Positive income from operations instead of a net loss?
  14. Is the operation supporting itself without relying on an influx of cash from the owner/parent?
  15. Is the cash flow from operations positive?
  16. Appropriate mission, vision and goals of the school, college or university
  17. Program Effectiveness and Instructional Delivery
  18. Adequate number of enrollees and graduates
  19. Responsibility of the Chief Executive Officer
  20. Determination of ability to assess educational effectiveness
  21. Miscellaneous depending on the type of programs offered

Once the initial letter of intent is submitted other documents will be made available based on the type of institution to the CEO of the organization for the next steps in the accreditation process.

All the fees need to be deposited before the process of accreditation starts. The check can be sent in favor of IADCS or cash can be deposited in IADCS accounts, details will be shared as per the needs.
