About ICAA
ICAA actively promotes continuous improvement in the preparation of Ayurveda Medical practitioners by developing clinical competency based measurable criteria for excellence in integrative medicine.
ICAA accreditation would set the benchmark for students and medical educational institutions to ensure that graduates are well trained and evaluated by strict quality standards to work in clinics and healthcare organizations at different provider levels and scopes of practice.
Mission of the ICAA
Serve the public interest of Ayurveda medical education by highest gold standard of Education level equivalent to BAMS degree in India (in accordance to education in US and world standards).
Teaching essential Integrative health medicine.
To assist and support programs which seek to meet or exceed criteria to continuously improve by teaching essential health knowledge.

Dr Aparna Bapat
President, ICAA
Aparna Bapat is highly accomplished Ayurveda Practitioner, Educator and Entrepreneur working in US since last 23 years.
She was on NAMA Board for 9 years and is currently the President of AAF (Ayurveda association of Florida) and founding member of AAAP(American association of Ayurvedic professionals), NCAM (National Consortium of Ayurveda Medicine)and ICAA (International Council for Ayurveda Accreditation) founding member and current President.
Dr. Bapat has been actively involved in Ayurveda education and is on faculty of several Ayurveda colleges. She is favourite mentor to numerous students who studied with her and are now successful practitioners and teachers themselves.
With strong foundation in spirituality, Dr Bapat has healed thousands of people with her expertise in Pulse reading, herbal formulations, Pancha karna, nutrition /cooking and lifestyle guidance using Ayurveda and Yoga principles.
Dr Bapat lives and practices in Citrus hills, Florida.
Dr. Asavari Manavikar
Asavari Manvikar is a classically trained Ayurvedic Doctor, founder, and lead faculty at the Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda. Minnesota Institute of Ayurveda offers professional education certificate programs in Ayurveda, in person and globally in a distant format.
She is a graduate faculty at the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing, University of Minnesota.

She is a very passionate educator and has been organizing regular workshops on various topics of Ayurveda and yoga to increase awareness regarding the holistic approach to health and wellness in the community.
She earned her Bachelor's of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree in 1997 and an MD in Kayachikitsa (Ayurveda Medicine) in 2000 from the University of Pune, India. In 2001, she was awarded a Gold Medal for her scholarly thesis work by the Institute of Indian Medicine.
She served as a Doctor of Ayurveda Medicine, and Faculty Member, at the BSDT's Ayurveda College, Wagholi, Pune, from 2001-to 2003. She collaborated with her colleagues to research the integrative approach to diabetes, obesity, and cancer. She has authored several papers and articles in health journals.
In 2011, she developed and started teaching the graduate-level course CSPH 5343 'Ayurveda, The Science of Self-healing' at the 'Center for Spirituality and Healing, University of Minnesota. Through this course, she addresses the ethics, principles, and spirituality underlying the most ancient healing system of Ayurveda and how to integrate it with yoga for overall wellbeing.
She is a certified yoga teacher and has taught advanced 200 hr. and Yoga Teacher's training program for more than 12yrs at the Yoga Center Retreat and Green Lotus in Minneapolis. Besides teaching at the university, she also offers educational certificate programs at Normandale, a local community center
She is an Editorial Board Member for the PDEAS International Journal of Research in Ayurved and Allied Sciences. She is a professional member of NAMA, 'The National Ayurvedic Medical Association,' and serves as a committee member for a Beta Ayurvedic Doctor Program. She serves as a State Director, AAPNA, 'Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America.' She serves as a President of the 'Minnesota Ayurveda Association.' She is chair of the Global Webinar Research Series project by CAR (Council of Ayurveda Research). She serves on the advisory board of the Hindu Community Center. Her passion is to educate students on how to create balance to achieve health and wellbeing.

Kanada Narahari
Kanada Narahari, also known as Kanada Raghava, is an Ayurvedic physician holding a BAMS degree and a distinguished writer in Kannada. He has authored two short story collections that have garnered prestigious awards. Since 2007, he has practiced Ayurvedic medicine in India, Nepal, South Africa, and the USA.
Born in Manchikeri, a quaint village nestled in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India, Kanada's father, Vidvan Narahari Keshava Bhat, is a celebrated Sanskrit scholar, poet, and author with numerous works on theatre plays and Yakshagaana—a traditional form of performing art. It comes as no surprise that Kanada was immersed in Indian performing arts, music, and literature from a very young age. At the age of nine, he began studying Carnatic classical vocal music under Vidushi Shreedevi Aravind. Over time, his passion shifted towards Hindustani Classical music, especially the Sitar.
Embarking on a new musical voyage at 22, he trained for several years with sitarist Sanjeev Korti and later found guidance under Acharya Abhik Mukherjee. Today, Kanada is an esteemed sitar player who has captivated audiences worldwide with his performances at major festivals. He has collaborated with renowned maestros on stage and in studios. His discography includes two albums—'Naadi' and 'Vistar'—and an EP titled 'Sonokata', all of which are available on major audio streaming platforms.
Over the past 15 years, Kanada Narahari has cultivated a profound dedication to Naada Yoga. He has conducted live lecture-demonstrations on Naada Yoga and Ayurveda on prominent television and radio shows globally.
Anay Abreu
Anay Abreu is an established Āyurvedic professional and educator, founder and director at Sampoorna Āyurvedic College in South Florida. Vedic astrologer and experienced Yoga teacher. Her introduction into the Vedic Sciences began 23 years ago through Yoga and Vedanta.
After becoming an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Anay continued traveling to India yearly for training in Panchakarma, Herbology and clinical diagnostics. She offers Jyotisha courses, Marma Therapy workshops, Ayurveda training, Yoga and Vedanta Philosophy teachings in the U.S and India.
Through her Āyurveda practice, public presentations and collaboration with other Āyurvedic professionals, Anay represents the very best of those dedicated leading voices promoting the Vedic Sciences and advocating for health and better living.
Dr. Frances Yahia
Dr. Frances Yahia is an archetypal astrologer, shaman, akashic records reader and spiritual counselor from South Florida. She earned her PhD in Mental Health and Educational Leadership from Barry University and has studied and taught metaphysics, comparative mythology, symbology and esoteric topics for over 30 years.
Dr. Yahia has been in private practice for over 15 years and her main interests are depth psychology and the subconscious and she has developed her own 4-step model on how the subconscious develops at the moment of conception and explains how it contributes to all of life’s conflicts. Frances uses shadow work, symbols, myths and archetypes to assist clients with their deepest subconscious patterns. She helps clients identify the narratives they've built their lives upon, deconstruct the story and build a new foundation with the clients authentic values and personal philosophy at the forefront of their life, while integrating their unique shadow aspects to help them achieve wholeness and balance.
Dr. Yahia has held positions in institutions of higher education as Dean of Academics, Program Director, Accreditation Specialist and Director of Academics for over 20 years. She is a pioneer in online education as has taught at the college level for 25 years, she co-founded Sampoorna Ayurvedic College and currently owns her own college.

Desiree Collazo
Desiree Collazo is a licensed massage therapist, esthetician, Ayurvedic consultant and practitioner, Yoga instructor, Reiki Master and teacher of various ancient and modern modalities of healing.
Desiree's teaching career began in 2000 at Florida College of Natural Health as faculty for the Therapeutic Massage and Basic Skincare programs, and later in the Paramedical Skincare program. After teaching for ten years, she was promoted to Education Director of the Miami Campus and held that position for nine years.

She continues to provide CEU seminars for the Spa industry and lectures on the sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda.
